How to protect yourself from the Coronavirus?
Practice these 7 basic steps to protect yourself and those around you from COVID-19!
Wash your hands regularly
Use an alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and water to thoroughly clean your hands and kill any viruses that might be present. If you are using soap, remember to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.
Maintain your distance
Make sure to keep a distance of at least 1-meter i. e. 3 feet between you and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. This will protect you from the virus if the person is affected by it.
Avoid touching your face
Your hands can pick up the virus from the various surfaces you touch like lift buttons, stairway railings, doorknobs, and more. If you then touch your eyes, nose, or mouth, the virus can enter your body.
Practice respiratory hygiene
When you cough or sneeze, make sure to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow, or a cloth/handkerchief. This will prevent the droplets that spread the virus to remain contained. Be sure to dispose of the tissue safely.
Wear a face mask in public
When you are in public, it is advised for you to wear a face mask to protect yourself and others. Face masks help filter the air you breathe in or exhale out and keep you and people in your vicinity safe.
